Kittery Historical & Naval Museum
Naval vessels have been built along the Piscataqua River since the Revolution, starting with John Paul Jones’ sloop The Ranger which launched from Badger’s Island in 1777.
At Kittery’s museum, exhibits include shipbuilding displays, carvings by the famed nautical carver John Haley Bellamy, old photographs, toys, archeological finds, ancient tools and household artifacts.
